New Year, New Lockdown

Omicron is currently all over the news and it seems like it's more contagious and better at escaping immunity than any other virus we've seen.

We at Archers Arena wish you the best to stay safe and healthy during this lockdown. Make sure to wash your hands, use sanitizer, and wipe down high-touch surfaces with non-toxic antiseptics.

Keep your stress low, diet healthy, and be as active as you can, and here are a few tips for you!

Do some work around the house

Do you have any chores or yard work that you have been putting off? Doing chores like shoveling snow, gardening, cleaning out the garage can be a valuable exercise that contributes to your strength, endurance, and heart health.

Take the stairs

If you live in a building with an elevator, you might want to take the stairs instead. This will help you get better at climbing stairs, burn more calories than running outside, and if you want even more of a challenge - carry additional weight or skip steps! Be careful if you do this.

Exercise in your backyard

If you have one, you can exercise outside and get some fresh air at the same time! If you’re feeling extra daring, you can even run a marathon in your backyard!

Workout from home

You can always work out at home. It is not required to have a yard. Make sure you have clear space and then you can do different workouts that are quick, easy, or high intensity. You can also use common household items to make the workout harder.

Go for a walk or a run

Going for a walk is good for your health. You can listen to music or talk on the phone. Always plan for a safe route, and bring items like money and identification, or your phone in case you need someone to help you.

Take a hike

Taking a long walk can be a good way to exercise. A nature hike will make you feel better and reduce your stress. It will also help you with endurance, muscle strength, and even reduce your blood pressure.
